The image of the golden stamp (1.00 Euro) is not visible enough. This peculiar issue is devoted to Ivan Gašparovič (born March 27, 1941) a Slovak politician and law professor who has been the President of Slovakia since June 15, 2004. He is also the first Slovak president to be re-elected.

Despite all the care taken by my friend Nikolai, this "R"envelope came to me completely "exhausted and wounded".
It is a pity! Only a stamps lover can understand it...

Singapore
This FDC (28.05.2009) is very interesting. It's entitled "Launch Smart Circle Line", an issue about significant milestone in Singapore's rail transport development.
But it was not particularly this what drew my attention:
My friend Terence is always very careful and he has taken the precaution of posting on the envelope "Do not bend". In spite of this, this nice cover arrived in very poor condition... It's really a pity!
Both stamps of the upper right show two paintings by Tan Swie with animals in their natural habitat. By the way, are you able to discover a sleepy black panther on a bough of a tree?

This single commemorative stamp celebrates the150th anniversary of the birth of “Ja, vi elsker dette landet”. Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson wrote the words and Rikard Nordraak composed the music for what was to become Norway’s national anthem.
Arild Yttri has engraved a fine stamp to commemorate this anniversary.
