This nice enveloppe is a tribute to Maurice Béjart.

Maurice Béjart (Marseille, 1 January 1927 – Lausanne, 22 November 2007) was a French and Swiss choreographer who ran the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in Switzerland.

Béjard performed at Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon at the invitation of the Gulbenkian Foundation on June 6, 1968, presenting his show Romeo and Juliet. After the show went on stage to announce the death of the candidate to the U.S. presidential Robert Kennedy, assassinated in Los Angeles. He made an inflamed and anti-dictatorship speech and, at his request, a minute's silence deafening was requeste. That night the PIDE (secret police) withdrew Béjart from Hotel Borges, in Lisbon, and at 3 AM at led him at the Spanish border. Maurice Béjart returned to Portugal in 1974, soon after the revolution of April 25 and again presented the same show "Romeo and Juliet" at the Coliseu dos Recreios. In 1998, the then President of the Republic Jorge Sampaio awarded him the degree of Grand Officer of the Order Henry the Navigater.

Beautiful FDC (21.05.2009) stamped with a s/s.

I really enjoy it.

However, I'm a bit surprised because I have no sign from the sender and don't know who to thank for such a nice cover.

Among our common friends, is there somebody who knows this handwriting?
